Throughout the duration of the campaign (Nov. 21, 2006 through Jan. 31, 2007) the South Dakota Department of Social Services held many community meetings and events statewide.

Representatives from the Department were able to visit with citizens about the importance of the campaign, the benefits of planning, along with the resources and materials available to help guide them through the planning process; helping them to better understand long-term care services and needs and who they can contact for more information.

Public education events and activities were held in the following communities throughout the state:
